‘Realm Between Reality and Spirit’ – Indigenous Science Days

The Telus Spark Science Centre welcomes you in to explore the ‘Realm Between Reality and Spirit’ on June 21, 2022 from 5 to 10pm. This date also marks the summer solstice, when for years’ Indigenous people have celebrated the longest day of the year and expressed gratitude for the warm months ahead. This has long been a time of growth for Indigenous people. Join us for an evening of campfire chats, powwow mechanics, the Blackfoot Skies cast will do a Q&A, a special bows and arrows presentation with Morley students partnered with flint knapping, and the return of our Indigenous Art Market.

Explore ‘The Indigenous Art of Sound” on June 24, 2022 from 5 to 10pm and June 25th from 9am to 10pm This is a continuation of Indigenous Science Night on June 21st. Join us for a weekend of Indigenous Sound. Come in to watch Many Nations, One Voice alongside MCLighteningCloud, peruse through the Indigenous Art Market, take part in a Fish Scale workshop, see how caribou tufting is done, and help us shut it down with a Round Dance and a special performance by Chubby Cree! These nights will also feature the return of the Indigenous Art Market .

Admission is free for ALL First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples.
